As you see, a lot of stuff may be needed to study Go. Books, teachers, software, equipment, and so on. It can all add up to a hefty bundle by the end of the day. Both in terms of weight and price.
But is it all really necessary to study the game? The simple answer is: No. What I have provided you on this page, or tried to provide to the best of my abilities, is a hint, a push in the direction appropriate for you. For example, if you feel you need a book and are not sure which ones to buy, look at the Books section for tips. The same goes for every other aspect of studying.
However, the most important point is this: do not follow my advice blindly. I am not all-knowing, and it was many many years since I was in your shoes. I might not really know what you need right now. So think independently and make your own choices.

But most importantly, study only what and when it is enjoyable to you.
