Reminiscence about some early versions of Ravenloft.
Each of them can be downloaded from the Downloads page.
This is the second release of Ravenloft mod - one right before the re-texture of the whole place. I put it on the Morrowind@Elder Scrolls@RPGPlanet as "=Rafael=". I think you can still download it from there. It was supposed to be the final version... but then I discovered the re-texturing software... :)
In any case, this early version is different from the newest one in several different ways. Probably the most striking difference is that the Trading Halls mod is bundled within. This was the early design, when Trading Halls was an integral part of Ravenloft. Another difference is the file naming (the _rb_* convention I used then) and the modularisation. Also, a lot of readme-material is included, much more than with newest version. Well... I finally decided that I rather play than write. :)
Warning:
This version is NOT compatible with the newest one!
It is also NOT compatible with the stand-alone version of the
Trading Halls.
So please do not use them at the same time.
After posting the info about this site on usenet, I got a few emails asking why did I choose the name Ravenloft for this mod. It has nothing to do with anything else, really... Its actually quite simple.
Initially, the house was rather small, like one room, and it was physically located in the hills above Balmora. It was high up, so i sort-of named in The Loft. And, since the name of the character I was playing at that time was Raven, so it became Raven's Loft. And then simply Ravenloft...
Since then, the house eveolved and changed... I moved it around, here and there... but the name stuck in my mind. And that's that.
In any case, all this prompted me to have a look at the my mods and early versions... The Loft is actually quite playable, even charming. So I decided to put it for download, maybe someone can enjoy it. It is my very first completed mod.
You can find some more details in the Readme file.
Note:
The Loft is compatible with Ravenloft (any version)
This means you can install and use them both at the same time with no problems.
