Around '96, when I first started playing on the internet, I could not figure out a good screen name, everything seemed to have been already taken (yes, even then, lol.) So I grabbed the first book I had handy, and it happened to be the clue book for a game I played a lot then, which was Wizardry VII. I looked at the back at the glosary and picked one at random, which happened to be 'grimal'. It was my IGS name for a while, until it got banned.
When I started posting on rec.games.go I was again looking for a name. I did not want to use 'grimal' because I was of possible consequences with IGS (I was getting sort-of vocal on rgg). I grabbed for the same book and once more looked at the glosary. The name 'Bantari' jumped up at me, and I started using it. I used it for many years now, and I still like it.
'Bantari' from Wizardry VII was a critter resembling a two-headed tiger.
I though it apporpriate since I usually try to weight issues I discuss from both
sides before I form an opinion - or, at least - that is the intention...
Sometimes I fail, though.
Also, the only connection between both the screen names I used then was my favorite (at the time) game, so only those who shared my interest in WVII would recognize it. I though it pretty clever, lol.
'grimal' is long since retired, but 'Bantari' is still going strong.
