Hello.
Read through Go Rules?
Glanced at Go Basics?
Excellent! Now, what next?
I think that a key to successfully familiarizing yourself with this game is threefold (and not necessarily in that order):
I will attempt to give my best advice about each of these 3 activities, offering you some sources and ideas, giving you a gentle push in the right (I hope) direction.
But please remember:
This is only my own
personal advice, and in no way the only (or probably even the best)
way of easing yourself into the game. I am sure many of you strong(er)
players, if you happen to read this, will disagree with what I say.
It's just my take on things, so take it in this spirit, ok?
If you do not find what you are looking for here, or if the advice I give is for some reason not satisfactory for you, you might want to check out some of the resources I give on the Alternatives page of my Go Rules section.
Also remember:
The advice you can find on my pages is aimed strictly at beginners,
players who have just learned the game and wonder what to do next.
I would say that if you are stronger than around 15 kyu, you will not
find anything new here. But, by all means, still look around. Who knows... :)
